Wild American Ginseng Root • 5–15 Years Old • 1/4 Pound
Beautiful golden roots. Decades of experience. Quality we stand behind.
Enjoy a larger selection of carefully handled wild American ginseng from Four Prong Herbs. Each order contains 1/4 pound of fully dried roots selected from our 5–15-year-old inventory, with free shipping included and a lower price per pound than our 1/10-pound lots.
Wild American ginseng (Panax quinquefolius) is our specialty. Its distinctive shapes, textured skin, branching rootlets, and natural golden-tan tones give every root its own character. We bring that same attention to detail to the preparation and handling of every order.
Fully dried before weighing
Our ginseng is thoroughly dried before being weighed for sale. Your purchase weight represents fully dried ginseng, prepared with care and ready for your own storage.
Root size, shape, and shade naturally vary throughout each lot. That individuality is part of the appeal of wild American ginseng.
Carefully stored in glass
After drying, our roots are held in glass containers for conditioning and storage. The roots rest against glass surfaces, minimizing contact with plastic.
We choose glass to help preserve the ginseng’s natural aroma and character while minimizing concerns about unwanted plastic odors or off-gassing during storage. Careful storage is part of our commitment to quality.
Experience behind every order
Four Prong Herbs is a small business based in Hyden, Kentucky, specializing in wild American ginseng. Owner Michael Bowling brings roughly 30 years of harvesting experience and has worked as a licensed Kentucky ginseng dealer since 2014.
Our prices reflect careful selection, attentive preparation, and dependable service. We believe good ginseng deserves good handling—and customers deserve a seller who stands behind it.
More ginseng. Better value.
Our 1/4-pound lot offers a lower price per pound than our 1/10-pound lot, making it a good choice for customers who want a larger supply in one purchase.
We also offer 1/10-pound, 1/2-pound, and 1-pound lots through separate product listings. Our half-pound and full-pound options provide further savings per pound.
Satisfaction guaranteed—or your money back
We stand behind every order. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase, contact us to arrange a return and refund.
If any root arrives unsound or fails to meet the quality described, we will replace the affected root at no additional cost to you.
